How we accomplish this is, first, by offering you real time information about the status of goods at any stage in the supply chain, or to put it another way, creating total visibility of goods in transit in what we call the "Glass Pipeline." By observing a shipment in its entirely, internal boundaries can be broken down. Production can then define its own requirements, thus maximizing the free-flow of parts through the chain. Add to that the purchase of large inventories of transportation services, as well as a selection of vendors who offer support on a best service/least cost basis, and significant cost reductions can be achieved-not only in isolated instances, but across the entire transportation and logistics spectrum.
